In 2013 I was one of the biggest opponents to the expansion of Medicaid and the so-called healthy Michigan plan.
It was a fact that the governor oversold the plan as a money saver and we are already seeing the negative results of TOO MUCH participation, yet advertising for it continues. By 2018 the plan will be broke, and any supposed benefits Michigan would have seen under the best of circumstances will be long gone.
Short term thinking and anti free market efforts are the domain of progressive leftists usually found in the history books. We would hope that learning from the failures of others would benefit us, but only if we acknowledge it.
